Professional sellers are encouraged to provide Sophio with their sales exemption certificate. Sophio is a Tennessee LLC and will only charge you sales tax if the end user is located in Tennessee and you have not provided Sophio with a valid Tennessee reseller certificate. To attach your reseller certificate to your account, please visit the "Tax" tab in your supplier settings for Sophio FBS. There is a button you click to attach the certificate directly to your account. Be sure to give us the correct sales tax ID number in addition to attaching the certificate. If you forget to do this step and we charge you sales tax, we will refund your sales tax for the current business year once we receive notification of the certificate and id being attached to your account.
If you are an International business and do not have the ability to provide us with a sales tax exemption certificate, you will be charged sales tax if we are shipping to an end user in Tennessee.
