We have made the decision to discontinue hosting email for our clients web stores as of 10/1/2015. We recommend switching to our hosting provider Rackspace. Our primary reason for choosing Rackspace is because they offer the best support we have ever experienced. They are available by phone and email 24x7x365 and are truly fanatical about support. They do not outsource any aspect of their support and they are truly the best in the business. We considered using Google Apps but Google does not directly support it. We tested GoDaddy and a few other big names. The cost to use Rackspace is no less than $2 per month per mailbox and will be well worth the investment. If you want to use Exchange (mail + calendar + contacts ) the cost is $10 per month per user. By comparison Google charges $50 per year per user for a similar service. The biggest difference is support. You can call Rackspace 24x7 and they will fix any and all issues. If all you need is email, then it will be $2 per month per mailbox.
You will have until October 1, 2015 to change your email over to Rackspace. We can help you migrate your domain if you need us to. If we are managing your DNS then we will update the MX records on your behalf to the Rackspace MX records if you ask us to. If you are storing messages on the Sophio web mail server you will want to download the messages to your local email software so that you do not lose any messages.

Update: If you want to purchase the Rackspace email through Sophio you can do so but the cost is $2.50 per mailbox. The key reason to pay us instead of them is because you are already setup with us as a customer. We decided to resell the Rackspace email after many of our clients said that they preferred to deal with us. The choice is yours!
