Dear Clients,

The past week we have had several issues regarding our dedicated servers.  Initially the FBI discovered that someone had comprimised our server and was running malware on it.  This malware was running on our server and was designed to 'shut down' other web servers and websites.  The industry term is DOS attacks (denial of service).  The attacker attached the malware to some of our clients websites so that they could simply click a link in their web browser to run the attack.

The only tools we can use to discover, remove, and repair malware are the tools available on the web.  We have run these tools and believe we have done what has needed to be done.  It is crucial that you change your own password and keep your password strong.  All passwords should have MiXeD CaSe letters, include numbers and even a few special characters.  Also, if you are not using ftp or our file manager let us know so that we can turn it off.

If you are looking for a solution that reduces your risk of downtime as a result of security issues, we highly recommend you run our software on your own web server.  As a result of all the probelms we will help you with the cost in setting that up by reducing our fee's we charge you.  If you are interested in this please an email to our support department and we'll be in touch to get started.

We know how that these issues are costing you time and money and we are working around the clock to insure they do not occur.

Sincerely,

Michael Birnholz
