Dear Clients, Starting today credit card numbers will no longer be stored in your website the moment they are processed. This is being done to comply with the standards set forth by the US Government, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. If you are one of the few customers of ours still manually processing credit cards you are going to need to signup for a credit card gateway account. We recommend using Authorize.net and if you want to sign up via our website you can get started by visiting http://sophio.com/acceptcreditcards.asp. The new laws could result in you being fined $10,000 per card number being stored. This is a very serious email and cannot be ignored. If you change your site to process credit cards in real time the consumer can enter their credit card number into the site and do so until they get it right. Your site will tell them if they enter the credit card incorrectly. If you get a decline and you have to contact your customer, you will only have the last four digits of the credit card available and you will have to ask them for the entire number. This is normal and what consumers will expect when dealing with declined or incorrectly entered credit card numbers. If you have any questions please contact us at 888-563-2591. Sincerely, Michael Birnholz President Sophio Software, Inc.
