A number of sellers received emails today regarding the elimination of their special pricing package that they enjoyed with eBay. eBay is not terminating your account, they are terminating your ability to list an unlimited number of products without paying for them. Why are they doing this? I guess we could speculate several different scenarios, but at the end of the day, the bottom line is that the days of listing inventory that have no sales are over. Since we are partnered up with WHI this will leave you with a few different ways to deal with this issue. You can use the WHI eBaylink tool to discover which items you have listed that have no sales, and immediately deactivate them OR you can go to your Sophio 'advanced settings', click the 'marketplace' tab, then 'ebay' and click the 'preferred inventory' option. This will have a huge effect on the number of items that are sent to WHI/eBay. It will send only the items 'with stock' and 'with sales > 0'. We suggest you do this before the deadline you discovered in the letter eBay sent you.
A few sellers have used the phrase 'law suit' when discussing this issue with me. Before doing something that could hurt your online business further, we highly recommend reviewing the eBay terms and conditions found at this link - http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-rules-overview.html.
Furthermore, we wanted to remind you that your Sophio site is first and foremost a 'b2c site'. This means we built our platform so that you can have your own website where you call the shots. You can also signup for an Amazon or Walmart or Jet marketplace account. We are working on our integrations with Walmart and Jet now, but we have supported Amazon as a platform for many years.
If you would like to setup a time to discuss this matter with our President, Michael Birnholz, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request a scheduled call to discuss your options.
