Important Note regarding pricing at IMC integrated websites

Sophio normally allows clients to price products based on the cost, brand, category, and vehicle make.  However, we are reliant solely on the data that is provided to us by our suppliers.  Since some items are multi application parts (fit many makes and vehicles), it is not currently possible to assign many makes to a given a product when it comes time to price it.  This is a limitation of the IMC catalog system.  We have informed of our clients desire and future releases will make this possible.

Note:  If you want to remove part number searching from your site's list of capabilities it IS possible to use the pricing models based on makes and categories or any other combination.  The problem is that when searching by part number at an IMC integrated site, IMC does not send the vehicle make or category information with the request for the pricing model, thus it is not used, and your consumer gets different prices if search by yr mk model, vs part number only.

With that said, here are your choices when pricing items for your IMC integrated website.

1)  A single markup for all products (not recommended)
2)  A price matrix based on cost ranges (recommended).  An example is as follows:

0 - 10 = 1.75 (75% markup)
10 - 20 = 1.50 (50% markup)
20 - 50 = 1.40 (40% markup)
50 - 100 = 1.30 (30% markup)
100 - 99999.99 = 1.20 (20% markup)

3)  A single markup for most parts, using BRAND (mfr) for special pricing on certain product lines

4)  A matrix including brand designation (one matrix for most parts, and many for certain brand parts)

If you think the feature to be able to price parts by vehicle or category is critical please send an email to rendo@imcparts.net.
