How do I setup email for my webstore?

We recommend using a major Internet Service Provider  such as Google Apps or GoDaddy, or Rackspace.com.  The cost to host your email can be as low as $2.50 per mailbox per month.  If you want Sophio to help you setup your email, please visit your Sophio account and purchase the number of mailboxes you wish to use.  The cost is $2.50 per mailbox and we will charge you monthly.  You may be able to get a better deal by going to a third party.  The choice is yours.

If you signup with Sophio to manage your webstores email, you will be using the Rackspace email service with Sophio as your 'reseller'.  This means that we can help you diagnose problems.

Inbound Servers (receiving mail):

Insecure

If you are changing your mail server settings at your registrar, you will need to create two MX records.

Also create an SPF Record

Lastly, you should have mailbox named 'postmaster' to be in compliance with web standards.  This mailbox will receive lots of junk mail and will be the mailbox that anti spam lists will contact when your domain has a problem.
