If the fields in the inventory maintenance are not detailed enough for your products, you may add 'item attributes'. To do this visit the link in the inventory section of the control panel and select 'Attribute Maintenance'. Once there you can search, edit or add as usual. To add an attribute enter the SKU that already exists in your inventory and click Add. Next you will see 'attribute pairs'.
For example:
Attr1 N - This is the Attribute Name, such as "Color"
Attr1 V - This is the Attribute Value, such as "Red"
When you are done adding the attribute you can view the attributes on the item.wws page (item details).
