The Sophio software suite can use either the AAIA standard vehicle files or your suppliers vehicle files. We recommend using the AAIA standard as it makes your data portable to other platforms and vendors if need be, however, you may decide it is cleaner to use the same makes and models as the supplier.
The link to use to get started is 'Add Applications' in the catalog section of the admin.epc link (your control panel). You start by entering a valid sku (part number), then subcatid. The subcatid is a number that represents the product description. If you do not know the id, you click the link to search for it. You will see a make list, and several boxes for model. Simply type in an abbreviated value for the model such as 190 (instead of 190e 2.3). Next enter a ldescript (or footnote) that applies to all the applications (E.g. 10 mm). Lastly enter the MFR such as (BOSCH, or ABC, etc...). Then click add. You will be presented with a list of matching makes, years, and models. At this point you only need to click the button at the bottom of the result screen that says 'Add selected applications'. This will add all the applications to the itemmast.dbf file (or application file).
To access this newly entered information you will need to make your site 'multi catalog' which support can do for you.
