Can I get my own SSL certificate?

By default your webstore will use the Sophio SSL certificate which is what is referred to as a 'wild card' certificate.  If your site's name is craigsautoparts, your ssl url will be https://craigsautoparts.sophio.com.  If you want your ssl certificate to read https://www.craigsautoparts.com - you must install our software on your own server and purchase your own cetificate.  There is a fee for all of that and more info can be found here: http://www.sophio.com/hosting.asp .

If you already have your own server and do not want to use the free Sophio wild card certificate the steps are.

1)  login to your own server and create a CSR (use the 'certificates' plugin in the MMC)

2)  Take the CSR text and copy and paste it into the SSL authorities website when prompted to do so

3)  Wait for your SSL certificate and when you receive it, install it on your server

If you do not have experience setting up an SSL cert, Sophio can do it for you and will charge an hour of web development time.  You should purchase the SSL certiicate yourself and we'll provide you with the CSR.  When you get the SSL you can attach it as a zip file to a support ticket and we'll complete the installation.  If you need us to do purchase it on your behalf and install it, we will need two billable hours.  Login to your Sophio Account and choose add-ons to get started.
