There are two ways to get your own inventory items to be
displayed in the IMC catalog. If your item is
vehicle specific and cannot be matched to an existing IMC item, do this.
As you can see there are two links in the Catalog section of the control panel for attaching your items (sku's) to the IMC catalog. The one below highlighted in blue is for ITEM matching. Meaning, you assign your item to IMC'S item and each time the IMC item is displayed in the catalog your item is displayed. This is a good choice for an item that is NOT vehicle specific (maybe a fluid or generic accessory, or maybe an item that is vehicle specific but ALWAYS works without exception). This help screen is an example of how to assign a SKU already in your inventory file, and then attaching it to a range of vehicles in the IMC catalog. |
Step 1 - Choose 'Add IMC Integrated Applications') |
Step 2 - Enter the SKU and MFR of your own item, and select the Show Cataloged Applications. |
Step 3 - If you enter the MFR and SKU correctly it will be displayed below. The 'of 5953' refers to the number of items in your Inventory File. Next step is to click 'show catalog'
|
Step 4 - Click the link labeled Add Applications |
Step 5 - Navigate through the categories and sub categories and vehicle selection screen. When finished click the 'Add Catalog' button below |
Step 6 - After assigning the vehicles you are then able to assign a footnote to each individual vehicle application, and to ALL applications. These can also be left blank, if there is no further qualifying info. In this example, the year range does for the part does not match the IMC catalog data, so it was important to put the note in all the boxes. Click 'Save' when done. |
Step 7 - Below is a lookup in the IMC catalog and the webstore's manually added item at the bottom of the list. |
